The Story Behind the Recipe:
This is a recipe I would would make every year when my sons had their RobinHood camp reunion breakfast at our house. We fed about 40 hungry boys!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Melted Butter
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Loaf of Texas White Bread
7 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 3/4 cups milk
Instructions:
Beat eggs, milk and vanilla
Pour butter and sugar mixture into 9 x 13 pan
Lay bread in the pan
Spoon 1/2 egg mixture on top. Add 2nd layer of bread. Spoon on the rest of the egg mixture
Cover and chill overnight
Cook at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. For the first 30 minutes keep it covered, uncover it for the last 15
Sprinkle powdered sugar and serve with Maple Syrup!
